Since 01/07/2016, every student visa applicant must provide a written statement, which is also known as Genuine Temporary Entrant Criteria (GTE). The contents below are quoted from migration request form.
The statement should set out:
Your reasons for choosing to undertake the course(s) of study specified in your application
Your reasons for choosing your education provider (s)
Your reasons for choosing to study in Australia rather than in your home country or usual country of residence
The relevance of your course(s) of study to your academic and/or employment background
The relevance of the course(s) of study to your future career and/or educational plans.

即，在GTE中，请阐明以下问题
1.为什么选择读此课程，并选择这个学校？
2.若中国有学校提供类似的课程，为什么要选择在澳洲读此课程？
3.阐述此课程与自己过去的学习或工作背景的相关性。
4.阐述此课程与自己未来计划，包含未来学习和工作计划的相关性。

GTE中的几个注意事项：
1.最大程度阐述自己真实的，作为一个单纯留学生的目的。讲明申请课程对自己的价值。
2.避免表现出移民倾向和长期居留的倾向。例如，澳洲有亲属等。
3.显示出与中国的强有力联系，作为自己学成后一定回国的理由。例如，可以从事业发展，家庭发展等角度阐述。
